There are three decisions that you make subconsciously every moment. These three decisions ultimately create your future. The best part is that once you become aware of these three decisions they are totally in your control and you can use them to your advantage.

-What are you going to focus on?
-What does it mean?
-What do you want to do about it?
That's it. That's the secret! But the key is knowing that you can control those decisions.
You decide what you focus on. Which means, you choose your future.
Focusing on the negative will always create negative outcomes, it will always make you feel negative vibes and discouraged. But we must admit, for some it can be very difficult not to focus on the negative.
Choose to focus on the positive even in a negative situation.
It's not easy but the benefits of choosing this mindset reap far greater rewards.
When something bad happens, figure out what it means to you. Can it possibly be an open window to an otherwise closed door? A blessing in disguise? Is it something you can use as fuel to your fire, to add to your drive?
What are you going to do about it? Well, if you've chosen to focus on the positive in the situation such as the possibilities that may now be available to you, or your newfound courage to do things you couldn't do before, then take the next step! Use your focus to drive and motivate you. Now that you've chosen what to focus on and what it means to you, the ability to use it to your advantage is yours!
So where do we start? Now that you know this small but effective conscious way of thinking, start out by asking yourself those three questions at different parts of your day.
Consciously make the decision to ask yourself what you are focusing on, and go from there. We fall into bad habits and ways of thinking that we didn't even know were effecting us. So be patient. It takes practice. New skills develop over time, even those we cannot see. This is a skill I am confident that you can acquire!
