This beautiful Lotus flower is a free trade product made by artisans in the Tibetan exile community in India with Nepali artisans involved in traditional Tibetan style crafts since 1990. Their products are marketed as a part of the dZi’s “Tibet Collection” line. Sales of these products help to support hundreds of people in the local community through its income generation enterprise, and runs an elementary school providing free and low cost education for local children.
